Alyssa Foods specializes in producing gourmet  codfish, pollock and hake for a discriminating
clientele to ensure only the best for the marketplace, from the hook and line fishery.
Located in Lower East Pubnico, Nova Scotia, Alyssa Foods operates in a government-inspected facility with
all necessary licenses and permits as required by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).
When choosing Alyssa foods as your supplier of cured fish you have chosen one of the highest grades
of fish available on the market. This product has been crafted using the finest Nova Scotia fish and
years of experience. The processes that we use to create our products have been handed down through
four generations enabling the family to draw from 100 years of combined experience going back to the
days when all of our cod fish left Nova Scotia in sailing schooners for the Caribbean Islands
returning with salt, molasses and rum.

At Alyssa Foods there is no "by chance" discovery of our fine product offerings. All our seafood products have been produced from sustainable fishing methods with great detail in a quality-inspected
environmentshipped to your destination in perfect condition.



Our Facilities
We are located in Lower East Pubnico, Nova Scotia. This is at the mouth of the Bay of Fundy on scenic Pubnico Harbour. (The Bay of Fundy has the world’s highest tides) 
Our plant operates under a Canadian Quality Management Program/HACCP and inspected by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. We are a family run business where we take great pride in our employees and
products. Our employees in addition to our family also have years of experience in the production of cured fish products. It is working with them that we are able to produce a product of this calibre.
